LO: to explore the concept of branding & to create effective brand image.

3 favourite logos:

  • instagram 
  • starbucks
  • disney
why i like these logos
  • its colourful and simple, but really aesthetically pleasing
  • because its unique and well-known and interesting
  • because it has a really cool font and simple but understandable backround that reminds me of childhood, and what its known for.

the use of fonts is an important consideration in branding.

pink- respect, feminine, nurture, love, care
purple- deep, fantasy, creativity, royal, individual
navy- sincere, control, success, order, authority
green- growth, balance, safety, sanctuary, restore 
blue- open, control, content, spirit, ambition
orange- warmth, freedom, motivation, optimistic, motivation

UK film distributors alone spend roughly £300 million a year, bringing new releases to the market, and raising awareness of that film. posters: bold unique intriguing catches the eye when it is released where you can watch it the general essence of the film actors title  directors where the posters usually are seen cinema, on buses, billboards, tv ads what the distributor is trying to achieve by putting the posters in these places? a potential audience, raise awareness of the film's release.  colour palette: browns, reds  font: capitals, showing danger , small so the picture can speak picture: quite empty so the picture gets the spotlight. shows the main characters and what the film is about.  my poster

zombie film 8 shots someone being shot and waking up a zombie roles: camera - Amber zombie- Summer SFX - Abby & Jemma editing - everyone  setting:  dirty grave (paper over camera) what do we need fake blood  pasta sheets  cotton wool makeup  scar putty  shots: stabbing person , walking away from body  1.    pt 3 grunting noises 2.    pt 4 (whole twitching hand scratch hand across floor with blood) 3.    pt 5 camera at bottom of feet and hand reaching up 4.    pt 6 camera begins to shake and get closer to face 5.    pt 7 goes black and flickers then eyes open

disaster films                                                                       02.06.20 LO:to explore the disaster movie genre. disaster movies popular sub-genre of action/adventure films cinema-blend top 15 disaster movies of all time-   I haven't watched any of them. I've seen adverts for Godzilla so i've heard of that one and I watched the first 15 minutes of the impossible, but I stopped because I didn't like it. my chosen 3 films the day the Earth caught fire rollercoaster apocalypse Pompeii are the main characters usually male or female? generally i think male. this is because action/adventure is seen as a more manly thing as they are supposedly stronger than women.  which of my chosen films include someone trying to escape or solve a disaster? apocalypse Pompeii is about a family escaping the eruption of mount Vesuvius.  which of my chosen films include a character trying to save a member of their family? apocalypse Pompeii. wh
